KARACHI:

Pakistan and Finland have joined forces to launch the Vocational Talent Boost Programme aimed at empowering youth through a generous grant of 1.5 million euros. Leveraging the platform of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), Finland’s Turku Vocational Institute and NUTECH Pakistan are spearheading this collaborative effort. With the approval of the European Union, the programme is set to revitalise sectors like hospitality services, construction and health. By aligning institutions such as NUTECH with EU vocational training standards, the programme is expected to not only enhance institutional capabilities but also cultivate a proficient workforce. Excitingly, the inaugural cohort of trainees is slated to embark on their journey to Finland by October 2025, opening doors to promising employment prospects and international exposure.
