Elderly man killed in accident

He was rushed to the hospital where he breathed his last

FAISALABAD:

An elderly man riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a truck on Jhumra Road.

Ghulam Haider, 63, a resident of Data Park on Jhumra Road in Mansoorabad was going on a motorcycle to buy breakfast for his children when he was hit by a speeding truck near Sant Singhwala Gate.

As a result, he was critically injured and was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Mansoorabad police took the body into custody for legal proceedings.

Earlier, on August 8, several people were killed in separate accidents in different parts of the city.

Police said seven-year-old Umair was killed when he was hit by a speedy vehicle on Gojra Road.

Allah Ditta, 18, was hit to death by a speedy motorcycle in Chak 272-JG. Separately, Imran was severely injured in a road accident in Nalka Kohala stop and died before first aid.
