LAHORE:

LHC’s Justice Muhammad Sardar Sarfraz Dogar, on Tuesday, expressed his displeasure over the police's conduct in not complying with court orders in different cases, claiming that police negligence was creating an unproductive image of the court.

“No one passes any comment against other institutions but only the image of courts is being tarnished” Justice Dogar asserted in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

"The court’s image is being tarnished, courts are blamed and victimised but no one knows about the loopholes left in cases by the police" he further asserted.

Justice Dogar continued by explaining that all courts function within the legal framework.

The Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Inam Ghani, CCPO Lahore Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, and other police officials were also present in the courtroom during Dogar's assertion.

It should be noted that in various cases Justice Dogar had passed orders that the Police had failed to comply with, in letter and spirit.

IGP Police ensured that all the court orders would be implemented in letter and spirit.

Nevertheless, Justice Sarfraz Dogar ordered the IGP to submit a report with a list of all orders that were complied with and all that were not.
