Police arrest eight suspects during raids

Drugs, gutka, weapons and other items recovered

Police arrested eight suspects during raids in different areas and recovered heroin, gutka, weapons and other items from their possession.

The New Karachi Industrial Area Police arrested a drug dealer during a raid. According to police, 500 grammes of heroin and Rs3,000 of sale proceeds were recovered from arrested suspect Obaidur Rasheed. The raid was conducted on the basis of an information. During interrogation, the suspect disclosed that he was a habitual offender and had been jailed several times. A drug case was registered against the arrested accused and he was handed over to the investigation officials.

Nazimabad police arrested five suspects including Asad Ilyas, Tauheed Ayaz, Jalil Aksar Ali, Muneeb-ur-Rehman and Iqbal Haroon and recovered 106 packets of gutka and Pan Parag from their possession. According to police, a case was registered against the arrested suspects.

Separately, Docks police arrested an accused Dil Muhammad alias Munna Noor-ul-Islam in an operation in Shakir Pulia, Old Para in Machhar Colony. During patrolling, the police party intercepted him over suspicion and recovered a 32-bore revolver along with 2 rounds during his physical search. A case was registered against the arrested suspect and he was handed over to the investigating authorities.

In another raid, Shamsul Alam was arrested near Aqsa Mosque in Machhar Colony and 110 packets of gutka were recovered from his possession.
