Condolences to the families, prayers for the victims: Celebs condemn tragic Lahore blast

Many took to social media, calling for action against the attack and extending condolences to the grieved families

Three people, including a nine-year-old child, were killed while over two dozen were injured when a blast tore through a bustling market chowk near Lohari Gate, a prominent entrance of the historic walled city. According to the Lahore police, an initial investigation showed that a 1.5 kilogramme improvised explosive device (IED) was planted in a motorcycle parked next to a pushcart outside a bank, which was the cause of the blast.

As the details of the blast unfolded, many among celebs took to social media, condemning the cowardice attack and extending condolences to the grieved families.

"Allah Reham (God have mercy)," Mahira Khan tweeted.

Adnan Siddiqui shared, "Strongly condemn the Lahore blast. May the families who lost their loved ones get the strength to bear this pain. Culprits must get harsh punishment."

Humayun Saeed penned, "Very unfortunate news of an explosion in Lahore. Prayers for the victims and their families. May Allah bless the souls of the deceased and give health to the injured."

Usman Mukhtar, too, offered his grievances. "My condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives today in the Lahore blast," the Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay Actor shared.

"I hope our law enforcement agencies are on top of things and have a plan in place to stop further incidents like this," he added. Ramsha Khan also expressed sadness over the loss of lives.

"Condolences and prayers for the families who suffered in the sad incident of Lahore. May the Almighty keep us all safe," wrote cricketer Shoaib Malik.

Kamran Akmal commented, "My heart goes out to the families of the people killed and injured in the barbaric Lahore blast in Anarkali." He added, "May Allah grant health to all the injured people, Ameen."
