FAISALABAD:

The Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) is prioritising measures to desilt large sewerage lines for the disposal of industrial water.

The system for desilting main lines in the city was also being upgraded, said Vice-Chairman WASA Sheikh Shahid Javed while addressing complaints at his office on Friday.

He stated that all old and dilapidated water lines were being replaced with new ones, adding that most water supply projects and sewerage schemes were completed, while others were progressing at a fast pace.

He said that resolving peoples’ problems was the utmost priority, for which all resources were being utilized. He also appealed to the WASA consumers to pay their pending and current dues, so that the agency could bring improvement in its performance.
