KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) suffered another blow as Sindh Assembly Member Bilal Ghaffar announced his departure from the party.

He expressed complete disillusionment with politics and extended his well wishes for the country’s development and progress.

In a video statement, Ghaffar said that he was deeply shocked after Imran Khan’s arrest and the subsequent wave of violent incidents across the country. As a Pakistani, he could not fathom aligning himself with actions against institutions.

Ghaffar stated, “After these events, I have made the decision to distance myself from politics. I hereby announce my resignation as a member of the Sindh Assembly. I have also decided to resign from the position of PTI party member. I condemn the recent acts of violence and call for an inquiry into the Jinnah House, GHQ, and other targeted attacks.
