KDA removes encroachments in Surjani Town

KDA has been actively conducting anti-encroachment operations in the city throughout the year

KARACHI:

The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) carried out operation against illegal occupation of land in Surjani Town and retrieved KDA land by removing encroachment in Sector 8B and Sector 8 Industrial Area. During the operation boundary walls, houses, and several under-construction buildings were demolished.

The Estate and Enforcement Department used heavy machinery and manpower to demolish the illegal constructions.

The operation was supervised by Director Estate and Enforcement Shakeel Siddiqui. Director General Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, Additional Director Jameel Baloch, Project Director Engineer Surjani Town Shahzad Ahmed, Assistant Director Rahmat Shah, law enforcement agencies, local administration and other officers were also present during the operation.

It is important to note that KDA has been actively conducting anti-encroachment operations in the city throughout the year.

The DG said that following the court orders, the operation against illegal occupation of KDA land will continue until all encroachments are removed. He said no leniency will be shown towards the illegal occupants of government land, and strict disciplinary action will be taken against officers and employees involved.
