Youth commits suicide due to unemployment

Deceased was unemployed for four months with no financial support

A 23-year-old man took his own life by shooting himself in the head due to unemployment-related stress.

The deceased, identified as Rahul Masih was a resident of Tehsil Quarter 3 under the jurisdiction of Rail Bazar Police Station.

Rahul had been unemployed for the past four months, and his family had been unable to provide financial support, adding to his mental distress.

Overwhelmed by the burden of unemployment, Rahul ended his life by shooting himself in the head early in the morning at his residence.

Upon receiving the news, DSP Civil Line Mian Khalid and SHO Rail Bazar, along with other senior police officers, arrived at the scene.

Following the completion of the medico-legal procedures, Rahul Masih’s body was handed over to his grief-stricken relatives to carry out the final rites.
