PHC reserves judgment on Swat mayor cases

Says petitioner still facing harassment despite court orders

PESHAWAR:

The Peshawar High Court has reserved judgment on the details of cases filed against Swat Mayor Shahid Ali. In a hearing yesterday, a two-member bench, consisting of Justice S M Attique Shah and Justice Muhammad Faheem Wali, presided over the case.

During the proceedings, the petitioner's lawyer, Muhammad Inam Yusufzai Advocate, informed the court that his client was elected as the Mayor of Swat on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ticket.

The lawyer pointed out that despite court orders prohibiting harassment of the petitioner, he continues to face harassment.
