NOWSHERA:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians Chairman Pervez Khattak has vowed to wipe out Imran Khan and the PTI in the upcoming general elections, claiming that he will be the next Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister.

Addressing an election rally here on Sunday, the former PTI leader said that 240 million people of Pakistan were now aware of the catchy slogans of Imran, Nawaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and that the nation knew the reality behind their empty promises.

He said, “They (political leaders) enter the field to achieve their objectives like a monkey trainer puts up a show and when they come to power with the votes of the nation, their views change.”

Khattak said that if Imran’s government was established, it was because of him, claiming that when he parted ways, neither Imran remained, nor his government. “Imran’s thinking was that of Europe and America, as he was unaware of the problems of the poor people of the province.”

Khattak said that the people of the province had decided that they would vote only for the turban symbol. “Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will be taken on the journey of development with the votes of the people.”

Criticising the religious organisations, he said that those who were asking for votes in the name of Islam, always forgot the poor people after reaching the assemblies. “They only commit to looting after being elected.”

Targeting the JUI-F chief, Khattak asked how Maulana Fazl got so much wealth. “This is the robbery.”
The PTIP chairman said that more than 70 candidates had been fielded in K-P, claiming that he also had the support of 25 to 30 independent candidates.
