Diljit Dosanjh allegedly married to Indian-American woman and has a son

Friends of the Punjabi music icon have spilled the beans on his personal life

Entertainment Desk April 09, 2024

In a surprising turn of events, Indian actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh is reported to be married to an Indian-American woman and has a son, according to Hindustan Times

Diljit recently made headlines after performing with British sensation Ed Sheeran in Mumbai, as well as having a key role in the new Bollywood hit Crew, and is reported to be living in the United States with his wife and child. The Glorious Gallan hitmaker is famously reticent about his private life. However, echoing the news lighting up Indian media, The Economic Times reported, “An intensely private person, little is known about his family but friends say his wife is an American-Indian and they have a son, and his parents live in Ludhiana.”

Diljit, who is known as beeba munda (good boy) amongst his fans, is no stranger to having speculation spread about his personal life. In 2019, Diljit’s Good Newzz co-star Kiara Advani alluded to Diljit already being a parent. In an interview at the time, Kiara had remarked, “[The movie] was very educational for me, since I am the only one here who is not having a child.”

In addition, the publication reported that an image assumed to be the wedding photo of Diljit and fellow Punjabi crooner Nisha Bano went viral shortly thereafter. However, Nisha later cleared up the confusion on her Instagram handle, reminding her followers that she was only married to Sameer Mahi. Commenting on the wildfire-like spread of gossip, Nisha had added, “Who will make Bollywood understand this?”

Whilst speculation is rife across Indian media, Diljit himself has not made come forward with any statements regarding his alleged wife and child. His career, however, continues unimpeded. He is slated to next appear in the upcoming film Chamkila, a biopic on Punjabi folk music icon Amar Singh.
