Girl allegedly commits suicide in Karachi

KARACHI:

A teenage girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a ceiling fan in Federal B Area on Tuesday.

Maternal uncle of the victim told police that 15-year-old Dania Hussain was going through a state of depression as her mother was unwell after she suffered a stroke three years ago.

The girl was taking care of her mother which led her to quit education. As she was continuously staying at home, and seeing other kids of her age made her feel inferior.

On Tuesday morning, she ended her life to get rid of her situation, Dania’s uncle added. Her body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
