Dubai’s highrollers among residents affected by UAE rains

Unprecedented rain has battered the UAE, causing disruptions in cities like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Sharjah.

Torrential rains have hit parts of the United Arab Emirates, flooding some roads and stalling traffic in Dubai.

Authorities have urged residents to opt for remote work, emphasising the use of the Dubai Metro for essential commutes.

Sajan, a prominent social media influencer with over 550,000 Instagram followers, endorsed the metro's convenience and efficiency in a post on his Instagram account.

"When you have the will, you will always find a way to make it happen," the billionaire said on Instagram.

A viral video of singer Rahul Vaidya's also emerged on April 16th, showing him wading knee-deep through flooded streets in Dubai.

Chrissy Teigen, had also documented her five-hour wait at Dubai Airport following a flight delay earlier on April 7th but that was not related to the rains.

Teigen's candid Instagram stories showed her struggling with the extended delay alongside her husband and children, Esti Maxine (14 months) and Wren Alexander (9 months), born via surrogate last year.

The transport situation remains grim for citizens of the UAE, with all kinds of vehicles, from small cars to giant jets, plunged in floodwater.

Even the prestigious Dubai Mall suffered immense damage in the city’s severe weather.
