DHOs, MS not to leave duty without permission

PESHAWAR:

In response to the current emergency situation, directives have been issued to District Health Officers (DHOs) and Medical Superintendents (MS) to obtain prior permission from the Director General of Health Services before leaving their assigned duty stations.

A notification issued from the office of Dr. Shaukat Ali, the Director General of Health Services, states that the Department of Relief, Rehabilitation, and Settlement has declared an emergency in various districts of the province until April 30th.

“In light of this emergency,” the notification reads, “DHOs and MSs of DHQs in respective districts are directed to seek prior permission from the Director General of Health Services before departing from their duty stations.”

Moreover, it is emphasized that medical superintendents of DHQ hospitals in the merged districts should also inform the Director General of Health Services before leaving their duty stations. The announcement further specifies that DHQs and MSs in Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Chitral Upper and Lower.
