Envoy visits China’s vegetable capital

During his orientation tour of Shandong, Pakistan's Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, visited Shouguang county, known as China's "vegetable capital," at the invitation of the local government. He attended the opening ceremony of the 25th China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo, toured the expo, and visited the Pakistan pavilion.

In his address at the expo's opening ceremony, Ambassador Hashmi praised its role in fostering global agricultural innovation and cooperation. He lauded Shouguang's leadership in vegetable production and its international acclaim as a center for excellence in facility vegetables.

Highlighting the enduring partnership between China and Pakistan, particularly in agriculture, Hashmi emphasized its significance for bilateral relations. He showcased Pakistan's agrarian landscape, emphasizing its substantial contributions to GDP and employment. He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to enhancing agricultural productivity through collaboration with Chinese partners.

Hashmi outlined favorable policies and conducive frameworks for collaboration, stressing the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships and continued growth in agricultural trade and technology.
