CM pushes tourism promotion efforts

Recognized region’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and untapped potential

PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has directed relevant authorities to devise a comprehensive plan for advancing tourism as a thriving industry in the province.

Recognizing the region’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and untapped potential, he emphasized the need to enhance tourist infrastructure, provide facilities, and attract both local and foreign investments.

During a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House, he stressed that modernizing the tourism sector would not only create employment opportunities for locals but also significantly boost the provincial economy.

Adviser to Chief Minister for tourism Zahid Chan Zeb, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Amjad Ali Khan and other relevant officials attended the meeting.

The participants were briefed about the administrative affairs of the department, development projects, future planning and integrated tourism Zones being established in Malakand and Hazara divisions.

The chief minister directed the quarters concerned to devise a comprehensive plan for promoting ecotourism in the province.
