Jennifer Aniston to revive '9 to 5' with Diablo Cody for modern reimagining

Diablo Cody, known for her sharp wit in "Juno" and "Lisa Frankenstein," is penning the latest draft of the script. While  details of the plot remain under wraps, it promises to bring the spirit of the original to a contemporary audience.

The original '9 to 5', released in 1980, starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, and Dolly Parton as three women who take a stand against their sexist boss. The film became a cultural phenomenon, spawning a TV series and even a Tony-nominated musical.

Aniston has a history of successful producing credits, including "The Morning Show" and "Murder Mystery," demonstrating her commitment to compelling stories. Her connection to Dolly Parton through their collaboration on "Dumplin'" adds another layer of excitement to this project.
