Comedy drama 'The Good Half' has been picked up by Utopia Distribution and is set for a summer theatrical release as reported via Variety.

In a special partnership with Fathom Events, preview screenings will take place on July 23rd and 25th in over 900 North American theatres.

These screenings will include a virtual Q&A with Jonas and the film's director, Robert Schwartzman, moderated by Kiernan Shipka.

"The Good Half," which premiered at the Tribeca Festival last year, marks a departure for Jonas.  He stars as Renn, a writer grappling with the loss of his mother while navigating complex family dynamics and a potential new romance.

Director Robert Schwartzman, who is also the co-founder of Utopia Distribution, emphasised the significance of a theatrical release. "It's a filmmaker's dream to hit the big screen," he said.

Schwartzman also shared his reasons for casting Jonas, highlighting their collaborative connection.

Fathom CEO Ray Nutt expressed enthusiasm about the film's relatable themes of loss and family, calling it a perfect fit for their nationwide preview events.
