Kid Cudi's plans to hit the road have been put on hold after a serious injury sustained during his Coachella performance.

The rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 24th, to share that he has suffered a broken calcaneus (heel bone) and will require surgery.

"There's just no way I can bounce back in time to give my 100%," Cudi wrote, expressing disappointment.

The injury, initially downplayed,  turned out to be far more severe than expected.  Cudi had been gearing up for his "Insano" world tour, set to begin in late July. While fans will miss out for now, the musician reassured everyone that purchased tickets will receive a full refund and promised to reschedule dates as soon as possible.

Despite the setback, Cudi remains positive and grateful for the support. "I'm really disappointed...but I will be back. That's a promise," he wrote.

Fans are heartbroken for Cudi but understand his need to focus on healing. Many have already poured out messages of support and well wishes on his social media channels.
