ISLAMABAD:

The PTI has demanded immediate clarification from the "fake government" regarding reports about handing over two airbases in Pakistan to the United States.

In a statement issued by the party's spokesperson on Friday, the former ruling party expressed grave concern about "the blatant lack of transparency” in the alleged handing over of airbases to America without taking the nation into confidence.

"The puppet government needs to disclose before the nation and clarify the accuracy of the facts regarding the provision of airbases to America," said the PTI spokesperson.

"It is imperative to understand the motives and catalysts behind the provision of this new facility to America and the nature of the agreement.

"Engaging in profiteering at the expense of national interests will not be accepted by the nation, nor will the PTI endorse it. Rather, the party will also raise this issue in the parliament," he said.

The spokesperson claimed that moves to sideline former prime minister Imran Khan and schemes to discredit him politically are becoming apparent to the nation.

"The nation is witnessing a disturbing trend towards compromising national interests in sensitive matters related to foreign affairs and national security, resulting from the blatant theft of the public mandate.

"Pakistan's policies concerning India, Israel, and America are highly non-transparent, filled with suspicions, and based on shameful trade-offs against national interests," he said.

The statement accused the government of sending secret delegations to Israel and keeping silent on Israel's genocidal acts in Gaza. It claimed that the government is also anxious to open trade with India while betraying Kashmiris.

"The puppet government is preoccupied with burying Pakistan's principled stance on India and Israel," it said. The spokesperson warned that the government must refrain from fueling new external conflicts, especially against Muslim neighboring countries, to avoid becoming a pawn of the American agenda.
