Linkin Park, one of the most influential rock bands of the 2000s, could be plotting a comeback.

Sources close to the band tell Billboard that members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, and Dave Farrell are considering a reunion tour in 2025.

The band is reportedly seeking a female vocalist to fill the void left by the tragic passing of Chester Bennington in 2017.

Booking agency WME is apparently fielding offers for a potential tour and headline spots at major festivals.

However, Linkin Park hasn't made any official announcements about who will take on vocal duties.

Rumors of a female vocalist first surfaced when Orgy's Jay Gordon made a statement about the possible reunion (though he later retracted it).

Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee also addressed the possibility, expressing interest but noting she hadn't been approached by the band.

Many fans of the nu-metal genre draw comparisons between Evanescence and Linkin Park, citing similar elements a blend of rock and alternative influences. Some of them have also dubbed Evanescence as the "female version" of Linkin Park on social media.

Mike Shinoda has been characteristically vague about the possibility of a reunion, simply stating that an official announcement will come from LinkinPark.com if and when there's news to share.

Linkin Park remains a giant of the 2000s rock era. They boast millions of album sales, numerous Billboard Hot 100 hits, and a devoted global fanbase. Anticipation is already building for their possible return to the stage.
