Grammy-winning rapper Nicki Minaj brought out Cyndi Lauper to perform her rendition of the 70-year-old artist’s hit song "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun."

Nicki had used a sample from Cyndi's hit song in the track "Pink Friday Girls," which has amassed 43.2 million streams on Spotify to date.

The pair performed the song together during Minaj’s "Pink Friday 2" tour stop in Brooklyn, held on May 1st.

In a fan-recorded video of the performance, Nicki is seen wearing a leopard print shirt and matching bandana, along with a bright red wig.

She welcomes Cyndi to the stage, greeted by cheers from the crowd, and Cyndi joins her wearing a brightly colored blazer. The two then perform the hit song together.

Cyndi is not the only surprise guest Nicki has brought out on the tour. She surprised fans in Toronto by bringing out Drake on May 1st to perform their song "Needle" live for the first time.

The "Pink Friday 2" World Tour is Nicki Minaj's ongoing fourth solo and fifth overall concert tour, supporting her fifth studio album, "Pink Friday 2" (2023).

It includes 59 shows across two continents, making it the most extensive tour of Minaj's career, set to conclude on July 14th in Belgium.
