Eight injured in clash of student organisations

Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and Peoples Students Federation (PSF) were already in confrontation

A clash between student organisations in Jinnah Hospital left eight injured as students from both the s freely used sticks against each other and also pelted stones on rival groups. The injured were shifted to the hospital emergency who were provided first aid. Police and Rangers reached the hospital and controlled the situation.

According to the police, Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and Peoples Students Federation (PSF) were already in confrontation following some dispute.

Police have registered a case on the complaint of Jamiat worker.

On saturday, a group of miscreants stormed various wards of Jinnah Hospital and tortured hospital staff and attendants of patients. The search is on for the named accused in the case who will be arrested soon.

A spokesperson for IJT said that a few days ago their workers were injured but a case was filed against them. Their workers had got bails a few days ago, but again the PSF workers attacked, as a result of which our workers, Salman and Kashif, were injured.

It may be mentioned that two days ago, security guard of Ward No. 4 was tortured by the workers of a students organisation. CCTV footage of which has also come to fore.
