With users expressing surprise at its catchiness and even asking for it to be available on Spotify, it seems the song has transcended its North Korean roots to become an unexpected pop culture phenomenon.
The TikTok takeover doesn't stop there.
North Korea has also published curated videos under the account 'northkorealife' that showcase scenes of everyday activities, complete with captions touting the country's virtues.
