‘Focus on innovation & efficacy needed to promote exports’

Businessmen also urge for due representation in policymaking and decision-making in government entities

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari has said we have to focus on innovation and creativity to boost foreign exchange earnings and put the country on the road to progress.

Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Islamabad Association of Printing and Graphic Arts Industry’s newly elected office bearer as chief guest Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari said the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry will fully coordinate with the IAPGAI for ease of business and smooth sail.

He said that businessmen play a significant role in the development of the national economy by promoting businesses, creating jobs and paying taxes, therefore they should be given due representation in policymaking and decision-making in government entities for the formulation of business-friendly policies. Earlier he took oath from the office bearers.

Newly elected President Islamabad Association of Printing and Graphic Arts Industry Sher Mohammad said that IAPGAI is determined to coordinate with the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the promotion of trade at home and abroad for the benefit of the community and the country.

All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajraan President Ajmal Baloch said the traders’ community is united under the leadership of ICCI President Bakhtawari who is working day and night for the cause of the community.

Secretary General United Business Group Zafar Bakhtawari encouraged the traders to join the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in maximum to resolve their problems. President Traders Welfare Association G 8/1 Nasir Chaudhry, General Secretary IAPGAI Asif Bhatti and others addressed the ceremony, attended by a large number of traders.

ICCI’s former SVP Khalid Chaudhry, Babar Chaudhry, Imtiaz Abbasi, Malik Nadeem and Azher Iqbal Malik were also present on the occasion.
