Major decisions were taken to prevent cheating/copying in matriculation exams. Strict action will be taken against any person found cheating. Entry of irrelevant persons will be prohibited during examinations and instructions have also been issued for parents to send children with a water bottle and breakfast during.

In Karachi, a symposium was organized in a private hotel by Directorate of Private Institutions Sindh and Association of Private Schools and Colleges regarding prevention and planning of cheating/copying in matriculation examinations across the province. The purpose of which was to suggest a good mechanism for planning, preparation and assessment of examinations held in Sindh province. Representatives of private schools also issued guidelines regarding matriculation exams.

On this occasion, Additional Director of Private Institutions, Rafia Javed, stated that institutions responsible for setting up examination centres have been requested to ensure spacious facilities so that candidates can take their exams in a peaceful environment. She said that admission of irrelevant people will be banned during examinations in private schools. Examiners should maintain transparency. Qualified teachers should be appointed in for invigilation so that children do not face difficulties. In view of intensity of heat, parents should make children breakfast and send them with a bottle of water.

All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association Chairman, Haider Ali, while talking to The Express Tribune, said that this symposium has been organized today to prevent cheating, in which the officers of Education Board are also present and discussions are being held so that matriculation and inter-board examinations are conducted in a transparent manner and in a good environment.

Chairman Matriculation Board, Sharaf Ali Shah, warned students to submit examination forms before deadline to avoid trouble.
