PTI leaders sent on 7-day physical remand

Face charges of burning PML-N’s office

Anti-Terrorism Court granted seven days physical remand of PTI’s lawmakers Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr Yasmeen Rashid and others in a case registered against them over setting ablaze to PML-N’s office in response to May 9 riots.

The police produced the accused persons before the court seeking their physical remand on the course of conducting proper investigation.

To which the court handed them over to the police station concerned on a seven-day physical remand with direction to the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case to produce them before the court by January 25.

It is pertinent to mention that several cases had been registered against PTI’s lawmakers, workers and supporters over their violent protests in response to the arrest of PTI’s founding chairman Imran Khan.
