Taylor Swift marks beginning of new era with release of "The Tortured Poets Department"

Taylor is calling it a "sensational and sorrowful" period of her life which she now considers closed.

Pop icon Taylor Swift has released her highly anticipated 11th studio album, "The Tortured Poets Department".

The album explores themes of heartbreak and closure.

The lead single, "Fortnight", features Post Malone and a music video for the collaboration will drop at 8 pm ET tonight.

Swift expressed her admiration for Malone's unique songwriting style. "Florida!!!" is the album's second collaboration, featuring Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine.

Swift first announced the album at the Grammy Awards and has been hinting at themes of heartbreak. The album was written with her trusted collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner.
