Country music sensation Morgan Wallen has publicly addressed his recent arrest in Nashville, Tennessee, expressing remorse and accepting responsibility for his actions. In a statement shared on social media, Wallen stated, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks.” He acknowledged reaching out to Nashville law enforcement, his family, and the management of Chief’s, the honky-tonk bar where the incident occurred.

The 30-year-old singer, known for hits like "Last Night," found himself in police custody on charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after allegedly tossing a chair off the roof of Eric Church’s establishment, Chief’s on Broadway. The chair landed near two officers, prompting his arrest.

Despite the seriousness of the charges, Wallen maintained his tour schedule, affirming that there would be “no change” to his ongoing One Night at a Time World Tour. This decision follows his release from Davidson County Jail on April 8, where he was held on a $15,250 bond. Wallen is set to appear in court on May 3, coinciding with his second scheduled tour stop in Nashville.

Sources close to Wallentold DailyMail suggest that personal turmoil may have contributed to his outburst, particularly his reaction to the recent marriage of his ex-fiancée, Katie “KT” Smith, to Luke Scornavacco. The couple’s union reportedly deeply affected Wallen, leading to what has been described as a moment of reality hitting him over the loss of his former partner.

Additionally, concerns about Wallen’s drinking habits have surfaced, with insiders telling PEOPLE,  highlighting his tendency to struggle with alcohol. Despite his affable demeanor, sources claim that Wallen's difficulty in moderating his alcohol consumption has been an ongoing issue.

This incident marks not the first brush with the law for Wallen. In 2020, he was arrested at Kid Rock’s Nashville bar on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Moreover, Wallen faced a DUI charge in 2016, though the case was ultimately dropped.

As Wallen navigates the aftermath of his arrest and prepares for his court appearance, the spotlight remains on the acclaimed musician as he grapples with the repercussions of his actions.
