Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, has reportedly been diagnosed with ulcers in her stomach and alimentary canal, as claimed by senior PTI lawyer Intizar Hussain Panjhuta on Saturday.
However, doctors have declared her medical reports as normal.
According to Express News, the former first lady underwent a medical examination at Shifa International Hospital following a directive from Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana, who ordered the examination at a private hospital.
The PTI founder had claimed that his wife was given food mixed with toilet cleaner, causing her health to deteriorate with daily stomach irritation.
The medical team, led by Dr Asim Yusuf, included gastroenterologists Dr Muslim Atiq and Dr Aamir, and doctors from the Central Jail of Rawalpindi for Bushra Bibi’s check-up.

Overall, the doctors expressed satisfaction with Bibi's health after conducting tests and stated that her medical reports revealed no serious problem. Her ECG, ultrasound, and endoscopy results were reported as normal. However, the complete biopsy report is expected to take 5 to 7 days to be finalised.
Doctors have prescribed additional tests to determine her TSH, blood chemistry, magnesium levels, and a urine toxicology screen.
However, Bushra refused to undergo further tests at Shifa Hospital and insisted on having them conducted at Shaukat Khanum Hospital.
PTI's lawyer Intizar Hussain Panjutha was present during the hospital visit, and police personnel were deployed inside and outside the medical room.
After the tests, Panjhuta stated to the media that Bushra Bibi had no disease except a blockage in the right side of her heart, and she was experiencing chest pain. He expressed concerns about possible food poisoning, citing lesions in the alimentary canal and stomach observed during the initial investigations.

Panjhuta further expressed worry over Bushra Bibi's deteriorating physical condition, noting changes in the skin of her lips and her inability to speak. He claimed that she may have been exposed to a toilet cleaner chemical in her food, leading to abnormal acidity in her stomach.
“The doctors have advised her to revisit for a follow-up after a week and recommended consuming healthy food. The former first lady has no involvement in politics, so why is she being treated this way?” Panjhuta questioned.
Meanwhile, PML-N’s Talal Chaudhry stated that the medical reports had revealed Imran and his wife’s “lies” about food poisoning.
