Beyonce’s nephew Julez Smith makes his debut at NYFW

The model walked with his mother, Solange; grandmother, Ms. Tina Knowles; and aunt Beyoncé.

Beyoncé’s nephew and Solange’s son, Julez Smith, made his runway debut at New York Fashion Week in February. He walked for Raul Lopez’s Luar collection alongside his mother, Solange; grandmother, Ms. Tina Knowles; and aunt Beyoncé, leaving the audience stunned. 

Immediately after, he walked for Versace in Milan.

Before stepping into the world of modeling, Julez made headlines in 2021 for when he at the age of 16, entered a  relationship with former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson. 

However, they have since ended their relationship after she allegedly cheated, as reported by Just Jared.

In an Instagram Q&A about the breakup, Julez made it clear that it was not amicable, stating, "f*** no," when asked if he and Skai were still friends.

Following his modeling debut, the 19-year-old spoke with Vogue, expressing that modeling came naturally to him. He mentioned being inspired by his family, especially his well-dressed mother and aunt, and wanting to be on the modeling side to keep up with their fashion sense. 

Julez, who is now signed with Next Management, was praised for his style, effortlessly wearing both high-end and casual clothing.

Reflecting on his upbringing in the South, Julez said, "the South kept me humble and gave me a good, strong foundation. My whole family is from out there, so it’s home; it’s where I feel the most secure." He also shared his love for Houston, emphasizing the kindness of its people and the delicious food.

Regarding his journey into modeling, Julez revealed, "I’ve been wanting to model for a couple of years, it just never really worked out. Luar was really my breakthrough. I was actually interning with them for a couple of months."
