GIK Institute to set up new training centre

MoU aims to impart training in modern IT subjects, enhancing employment prospects for the country’s educated youth

The Ministry of Federal Education, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK Institute), and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) have entered a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a new training center in Islamabad.

The agreement, signed by the Federal Secretary of Education, the Rector of GIK Institute, and the Executive Director of NAVTTC, aims to foster a collaborative partnership.

The participants envision the new training center as a hub for cutting-edge research, hands-on learning experiences, and professional development initiatives. They anticipate that it will significantly enhance the academic landscape and contribute to the socioeconomic growth of the nation by producing highly skilled graduates prepared to tackle the challenges of the 21st century.

Mohiuddin Wani emphasized that this initiative aligns with Prime Minister’s Educational initiatives, 2024, providing an opportunity for comprehensive collaboration between the federal ministry and the GIK Institute. The MoU aims to impart training in modern IT subjects, enhancing employment prospects for the country’s educated youth.
