Activist Monica Lewinsky joined a viral social media trend this week relating to a lyric from “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” – the 10th track on Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

The trend sees users share the line “You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me” alongside a funny or embarrassing memory – with one user referencing the process of buying an Eras Tour ticket.

Lewinsky posted a photo of the White House with the lyric as the caption, subtly referencing the public scandal that unfolded in the 1990s surrounding her relationship with then-President Bill Clinton while she worked as an intern.

Dubbed the “Clinton-Lewinsky scandal,” the incident resulted in impeachment proceedings against the president, though he was ultimately acquitted by the Senate.

This isn't Lewinsky's first attempt at social media humor about her past. Lewinsky has previously described herself as “patient zero” of online shaming, having faced widespread media scrutiny after the scandal made headlines in publications like “The Washington Post.”

The former White House intern has become a vocal advocate against online harassment and has headed voter registration initiatives.
